Painted with expressive, richly textured brushstrokes, the composition brings together white, coral, pink, rust-red and golden-yellow blooms against a softly blended background of sage green, blue-grey and earthy tones.

The artist's generous use of impasto gives the flowers a wonderfully sculptural quality. Raised petals, spontaneous touches of colour and visible brushwork create a lively composition that reveals new details when viewed up close.

The painting is presented in a substantial vintage wooden frame, combining warm brown tones, dark recessed detailing and a finely moulded gilt inner border. The frame adds depth and a traditional elegance that complements the painting's colourful, expressive character.

Signed in red at the lower right, the artist's name has not yet been conclusively identified. A handwritten inscription is also present on the reverse of the canvas, possibly referring to a previous owner.

Believed to date from the mid- to late-20th century, this original painting makes a charming decorative accent for a collected interior, whether displayed in a living room, bedroom, hallway or as part of a curated gallery wall.
