A wonderfully substantial and comfortable example, the chair features a deep buttoned back with generously padded scroll arms, traditional brass stud detailing and a beautifully shaped seat, all upholstered in rich tan leather with a superb warm colour and character. The chair is raised on a handsome five-star timber base with castors and incorporates both height and tilt adjustment, making it equally suited to use behind a traditional partners' desk or as a comfortable statement office chair. The leather has been fully restored, preserving its attractive aged appearance, natural creasing and character while presenting beautifully and ready for immediate use. A particularly attractive vintage desk chair with the classic country-house/library appearance that works wonderfully alongside mahogany, walnut and leather furniture. The rich cognac-tan colouring, deep buttoning and traditional studwork give the chair an understated gentleman's-club quality, while the adjustable mechanism provides the practicality expected of a working office chair.
