The austere cylinder shape meets a softly rounded, swivelling top and a narrow handle. The top is turned to empty the ash into the container and hide the contents.

Cylinda-line was launched in 1967 and is a clear expression of Jacobsen's sense of proportion, clean lines and function. The series has become a classic in Danish design.

Arne Jacobsen (1902–1971) was one of Denmark's most significant architects and designers, also known for furniture such as the Egg, the Swan and the Seven. His care for the whole and details also characterizes the smaller everyday objects. Stelton was founded in 1960 and has become known for functional objects with a stripped-down design language through collaborations with prominent designers.
