The clean cylindrical shape and the flat, loose lid give the jar a minimalist look. The lid has a recess for the sugar spoon, so that the spoon can remain when the jar is closed. An elegant detail on the coffee or tea table.

The jar is part of the Cylinda-line, which was launched in 1967. The series' geometric shapes and well-thought-out functions reflect Jacobsen's sense of proportion and material.

Arne Jacobsen (1902–1971) was one of Denmark's most important architects and designers, known for, among others, the Swan and the Seven. His collaboration with Stelton, founded in 1960, gave rise to a series of household items that have become central to the company's design history.
