One of the oldest cased furniture pieces in the collection, this remarkable buffet showcases the exceptional craftsmanship and substantial construction associated with historic European furniture.

The richly detailed apron features three carved lion masks adorned with brass rings, complemented by half-columns with Tuscan capitals and lion’s paw plinths. A spiraled gadrooning pattern adds further decorative interest. The buffet doors feature coffered panels, while the two lower drawers and side panels display raised-panel detailing.

The oak exhibits a distinctive aged patina and grain variation that gives the piece a characterful appearance. The doors feature a traditional opening mechanism: a key on the right-hand side operates the center column and its door, while the left door is secured with an interior hook.

Combining historic character, elaborate carving, and practical storage, this exceptional antique buffet makes a striking statement in a traditional dining room, historic home, or collection of European antiques.

As a centuries-old piece, it may exhibit age-related wear, imperfections, and a natural patina consistent with its age and history. Please review all photos carefully to appreciate the craftsmanship and assess the overall condition.
