He received his formal artistic training under the iconic swedish master isaac grünewald and further developed his craft during studies in paris.

bergström is highly celebrated for his bold colorist expressionism and textured norrland landscapes. This abstract colourful mid-century artwork, titled "landskap vid ateljén" (landscape by the studio), exemplifies his mature modernist style. It features an exceptionally heavy impasto technique executed with dynamic palette knife work, building up layers of vibrant greens, intense reds, and deep blues under an expressive northern sky. His works are held in the permanent public collections of several major swedish institutions, including the norrköping, sundsvall, and linköping art museums

the painting is signed on the front in the lower right corner: "jonne bergström".
