The lamp was distributed by the stockholm department store nordiska kompaniet (nk), where it was listed under model number 20400. The design features a wide, bowl-shaped shade crafted from frosted, semi-opaque glass in a warm amber-yellow tone. Its distinctive stepped profile consists of a series of concentric circular tiers that gradually decrease in diameter towards the rounded base, creating a sculptural, geometric silhouette characteristic of the art deco period. The glass shade is suspended by three twisted golden textile cords, attached to the rim with decorative flower-shaped brass fittings. The cords converge at the original brass ceiling canopy, while a single light socket hangs independently from a central electrical cable. When illuminated, the frosted glass diffuses the light into a soft, warm glow, accentuating the stepped contours of the shade and its subtle variations in colour.
