A Swedish modernist table lamp manufactured during the 1940s by an unidentified Swedish manufacturer. The lamp features a wide, shallow dome-shaped metal shade with a matte black finish, decorated with small circular perforations around its circumference. The shade is supported by a slender chrome-plated metal stem, rising from a cylindrical black lower section mounted on a circular chrome-plated metal base. Beneath the shade, two horizontally positioned lamp holders are mounted on curved metal arms extending in opposite directions from the central stem. This arrangement provides an even distribution of light beneath the shade, while the perforations allow small points of light to shine through, creating a decorative effect when illuminated. The combination of the broad, flattened shade, contrasting black and chrome finishes, and restrained geometric construction gives the lamp a distinctive appearance characteristic of Swedish modernist lighting design of the 1940s. A small white push-button switch is positioned on the base.
European Plug (up to 250V).The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
