This is a pair of Pop Art table lamps designed by Traudl Brunnquell in 1977. Each lamp features a yellow faience ceramic base and a white milk glass shade. The shade is threaded for a secure fit. These are design auction pieces and are in very nice condition, working perfectly with standard bulbs. Traudl Brunnquell came from the Adam artist family in Munich; her great-grandfather was the artist Albrecht Adam. In 1945, she married Karl-Heinz Brunnquell, who took over the Brunquell & Co company that same year. In 1961, Traudl Brunnquell took charge of the design department at the newly founded Ingolstadt company, where she designed numerous lighting fixtures until 1979. Two of her lamps were awarded by an international jury at the special exhibition ""The Good Industrial Form 1977"".
