Possibly French and dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, this distinctive piece has a beautiful aged appearance and plenty of decorative character.

The mirror has three hinged panels that fold neatly together for storage. The central mirror tilts, while the two side panels open and close independently. It can be displayed standing on its small original feet or hung using the attached metal chain, making it a versatile decorative object for a dressing table, bedroom, dressing room or vintage-inspired interior.

The gilt-metal frame has developed an aged patina over time. The reverse panels have a textured, burgundy-red finish, while the central backing shows substantial deterioration. Its exact backing material has not been identified.

Condition

This mirror is sold in its original, aged condition, with significant wear consistent with its age.
