Maison Lecan presents this pair of barrel chairs from the 1950s, in the style of Pierre Guariche.
The design is all curves: an enveloping backrest, open at the base to lighten the silhouette, a generous seat, all resting on a slender black lacquered steel base.
Both chairs have been completely reupholstered by a master upholsterer, using period techniques: new horizontal springs, stuffing made of animal and plant fibers, and a wadding finish for lasting comfort. They are covered in a beautiful heathered gray fabric.
The base remains original. It bears some signs of wear, which give it its patina.
Around a dining table, in front of a desk, or as an accent chair in a bedroom, they bring the softness of modernist interiors.
Dimensions (each chair): W53 × D51 × H75 cm, seat height 49 cm
