The piece is crafted from solid, dark oak, the exceptional thickness of which and the patina developed over the centuries immediately catch the eye. The old repairs, particularly on the right-hand side, have been carried out with great care and bear witness to the value that has been attached to this remarkable piece of furniture over the years. The elegantly finished front contrasts beautifully with the austere, rustic finish of the sides and back, which are particularly decorative precisely because of their simplicity and robust character. The solid planks make one wonder how old the trees must have been from which this timber was once harvested. An exclusive and impressive piece of furniture. 170 cm high, 104 cm wide, 36 cm deep.12 See less
