Over the centuries, the chest has developed a beautifully weathered character, with a patina and authentic signs of wear. The hinges were presumably replaced around a hundred years ago, whilst remnants of the original fittings have been preserved. A carved motif is also still visible on the lid. A simple, distinctive piece. 36 cm high, 125 cm long, 34 cm wide. See less
