The chest is a fine example of regional folk art, finished in a characteristic blue base colour and decorated with floral motifs and imitation marble. The original paintwork gives the piece an authentic look, in keeping with the rural tradition of this region. The chest still features the original, working lock with its matching key. Inside, there is a shelf with coat hooks. Sporadic signs of woodworm have been checked and treated. A characterful bridal chest in which the original paintwork and artisanal character have been beautifully preserved. 178 cm high, 120 cm wide, 52 cm deep.12 See less
