An elegant pair of french art deco wall sconces, the feather-shaped shades in thick frosted pressed glass with hand-applied gilt highlights along the central rib and barbs. Each shade bears the moulded signature "ezan", the mark used by jean gauthier's glassworks at ezanville after 1930. The original brass mounts are attributed to atelier petitot, paris, which regularly mounted ezan glass on its lighting fixtures. The light passing through the textured frosted glass gives a soft, warm glow and makes the gilding shine, a signature effect of this model. Rewired with e14 sockets. Us adapters (e12) included. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
