Restored and hand-polished, in very good condition.

The top is veneered in a star pattern of wedge-shaped segments. Six areas of burl walnut are arranged in a ring around the centre, each probably book-matched across two segments. The deep edge of the top is veneered in walnut sections. The turned baluster column is urn-shaped with a waisted neck, a ring and a moulded collar. It is built up from several pieces of walnut and stands on a hexagonal plinth above a triangular platform base with concave sides and small scroll feet. The upper surface of the base is veneered in lighter walnut, the sides in darker, strongly figured walnut. The secondary wood of the top is softwood, reinforced underneath by a wide screwed batten with blocks set along both sides. The top unscrews from the base by means of a wooden thread, which makes transport easier.

Suitable as a centre table or as a small dining table for four. See less
