Designed in the 1950s by the visionary modernist architect and designer Alfred Hendrickx, manufactured by the renowned Mechelen-based company Belform, these chairs represent a masterful intersection of industrial innovation and timeless, sculptural elegance. The Model S11 is celebrated for its highly sophisticated, organic silhouette, drawing profound inspiration from the fluid lines of contemporary Italian and Scandinavian design. The frames are crafted from a rich, warmly-toned wood, featuring signature tapered legs that effortlessly ground the piece while maintaining an air of weightless elegance. The gently curved, floating backrest provides optimal comfort without interrupting the visual flow, making them a striking sculptural statement from every angle.
