A desk lamp in the typically austere style of the bauhaus era, manufactured in germany by hala - hannoversche lampenfabrik gmbh wehrkamp – richter & co. The combination of black and nickel-plated finishes is elegant.
it is a classic of its time and exhibits manufacturing features of the more common president lamp by kaiser idell: a nickel-plated ring on the base and a nickel-plated arm with a clamping screw.
it is marked hala on the lampshade bracket.
