A substantial primitive wooden display cabinet originating from a general feed store, believed to date to the 1940s. With its utilitarian construction, distinctive divided cubbies, and deep angled lower compartments, this impressive piece reflects the practical character of early American mercantile fixtures.
Measuring an impressive 10 feet long, the cabinet has a commanding architectural presence, making it a striking focal point for a boutique, antique shop, farmhouse, design studio, or collected commercial space. Its varied compartments offer abundant display possibilities for pottery, books, antiques, collectibles, and decorative objects.
The cabinet has been refreshed and restored, with replacement boards added where wood was missing and a distressed whitewashed finish applied to create a more cohesive appearance while retaining its rustic, primitive character.
A distinctive piece of mercantile history with generous scale and versatile display potential, ideal for interiors that celebrate primitive antiques, architectural character, and collected style.

Some wood sections have been replaced where needed, and the cabinet has been lightly and freshly rewhitewashed to refresh its appearance while retaining its primitive charm. Some boards in the bottom compartments are loose and could be secured with nails if desired; however, this does not hinder the cabinet's current use. Recently added LED lighting strips along the back enhance the display of objects and can be easily removed if preferred. Expect natural variations in the wood, surface wear, and imperfections consistent with a vintage piece. The cabinet has not been restored to a pristine or factory-new condition.
