T. C. Chiu is a prolific painter of still life, landscapes and street scenes. He began his art studies in China and continued when he came to America in 1974. His delicate work is the combination of the essential qualities of traditional realism and contemporary painting techniques producing masterful works in oil and watercolor. Chiu has an abiding reverence for the peace, beauty and tranquility found in the world of nature, which are among his most renowned and treasured creations; one of which, is on offer today.

I personally met T C Chiu at a showing of his early works at an art gallery in Boston in 1981. I was so taken with the captivating display before me (most already tagged with sold signs!) that I commissioned him to create this exquisite oil on canvas for my family home. This is not a commercialized reproduction of his work - it is not a print, limited edition, or poster. On offer is "Mystical Nature", an original oil from his highly valued, earlier works (circa late 1970's - mid 1980's). This art treasure captures the exquisite detailing and breathtaking essence of his artistry and love of nature. The sunlight streaming through the trees is brilliantly vivid while artfully delicate. His artistic command of color is masterfully reflected in the tonalities of greens and blues that create an ephemeral effect.. The reflection of light on water is artfully realistic and deeply intriguing. This is a piece that captivates the mind and senses with its beauty and allure. This is an inspiring work of art that intrigues with its depth of color, intricate detailing, and artistic execution. Beautifully mounted and framed.
