Poem on back, handwritten by JTS:

Slow down, they say
Slow down, but how?
Today I try this thing called rest

Four cups of coffee down, cortisol up
My false, familiar baseline of vigilance

Why do I do this?
Armor of adrenaline
Friends say I should rest
Alright, I'll book the cabin

Pause — there it is again
Planning to rest later
A human doing, not a human being

Maybe it's not the cabin I need

There's a quiet in the pause
A fern is sprouting
Here is where I'll stay today See less
