This rare ceramic with abstract motif is signed by neveux himself. A tomato-red base is complemented by a yellow repeating pattern at the edges and a dash of turquoise from the abstract in the recess of the tray. An eye-catching piece from the south of france. About atelier cerenne : created by charles rené neveux, the cerenne workshop, active from 1945 - 1958, takes its name from the contraction of its company name "céramique rené neveux". At the height of its renown, the workshop was one of the most important in vallauris, employing around fifty people, including 15 decorators. Its production ranged from utilitarian ceramics to unique pieces with special custom orders for french and international customers. Cerenne also created pieces of furniture with ceramic decoration.
