This elegant vintage French Neoclassical style vanity dressing table combines refined geometric form with classical brass details. Crafted from a rich, deep-toned mahogany, the piece features a clean rectangular top framed by a inset brass border.
The lower table houses a single long storage drawer constructed with robust hand-cut dovetail joints, indicating high-quality traditional craftsmanship. The drawer front is decorated with a matching inlaid brass border, an ornate central keyhole escutcheon, and two swing-bail handles. Flanking the drawer are fluted corner stiles that flow down into elegant, tapered round legs terminating in brass urn feet.
The upper portion features a substantial removable swivel dressing mirror with a handsomely beveled glass pane. The mirror is suspended between two columnar mahogany uprights topped with brass collar mounts and classic turned brass finials. The entire mirror structure is crowned by a central arched pediment featuring a cast-brass Directoire-style classical medallion portrait bust framed by laurel leaves.
