Mid 19th century French exquisitely carved walnut bed frame. Carved cherubs in the foot board are unique. This bed frame was expertly converted from a full size to a queen size frame by an antique furniture dealer and is exceptionally sturdy. There is no wobble when assembled with the original turn bolts tightened into the headboard and footboard. There is no cracking, warping, or discoloration of the walnut. It is in excellent shape. It looks best with a dust ruffle over a box spring and mattress of choice. This is a one-of-a-kind stunningly beautiful bed frame when assembled and outfitted with an elegant bedspread and pillows.
I have owned and used this piece of furniture in a fully restored Victorian home for 40 years, and have recently moved and down-sized. It is in climate controlled storage and ready to ship anytime. It was originally purchased from a high volume French antique dealer in Napa, California 40 years ago.
Dimensions: Headboard is 63" height and 65" wide.
Footboard is 36" high and 65" wide.
