Sculptural lounge chairs sold at Rapport Furniture on La Brea Avenue in the late 1990s — one of Los Angeles’ most iconic modern design showrooms. They’re classic examples of California postmodern design: rounded silhouettes, conical solid‑wood legs dyed black, soft sage green crepe upholstery, and contrasting black crepe piping.
The chairs were likely part of Rapport’s California‑made custom line, produced by local LA/OC upholstery workshops in the 80s–90s and feature the signature look of that era: Art Deco influences, biomorphic curves, relaxed proportions, and a warm, coastal palette.
