An iconic italian design classic: the maralunga two-seater sofa, designed in 1973 by vico magistretti for the renowned furniture manufacturer cassina.
the sofa combines the characteristic design language of 1970s italian design with exceptional seating comfort. Its generously sized, softly upholstered seats, voluminous armrests, and strikingly curved silhouette give it an elegant yet inviting appeal.
the finely striped vintage fabric upholstery in dark blue and warm beige-brown is particularly beautiful. The rhythmic stripe pattern accentuates the sofa's sculptural curves and lends this design classic a distinctive retro character.
the maralunga's special feature is its adjustable backrest. The two back sections can be raised or lowered independently.
condition: beautiful, authentic vintage condition with signs of age and use.
the striped fabric upholstery shows a natural patina and some minor wear. Small scuffs and beginning fraying are particularly noticeable along some edges and seams of the armrests. The cushions exhibit the creases and slight deformations typical of a used vintage sofa.
