six people. Three colours. One humanity.

six human figures struggle to ascend towards a small tree standing above them.

the tree of life.

two figures in silver, two in copper and two in bronze symbolise, within the artist's original concept, the three races of the world — representing humanity in its diversity, united by the same desire for knowledge, spiritual growth and enlightenment.

each figure follows a different path. Some reach upwards, others struggle to maintain their balance.

their journey is not a competition.

enlightenment is not a gift. It is something we must strive to attain.

the tree of life — the ultimate destination

at the summit stands a delicate handcrafted tree, symbolising wisdom, spiritual awakening and the interconnectedness of life.

reaching it requires courage, persistence and the willingness to overcome personal limitations.

some climb with their bare hands. Others may need a ladder.

optional handcrafted suspended ladders can be incorporated into the sculpture, representing the different ways human beings search for understanding.

there is no single path towards enlightenment.

the earth — a three-dimensional landscape

the rectangular base is not simply a lighting structure. It is a sculptural landscape.

the version illustrated features sandy mixed, an individually handcrafted finish incorporating real sand to create an irregular, three-dimensional surface with small raised formations.

traditional gold and copper-toned powders used in icon painting are applied by hand, allowing the metallic highlights to emerge from the texture.

the raised sandy formations are intentional. They give the surface its organic character and create subtle variations of light and shadow.

the six suspended figures are individually sculpted from metal wire, capturing the tension, movement and determination of the human ascent.

bulbs: not included. Standard gu10 bulbs are widely available internationally, allowing customers to choose their preferred brightness and colour temperature, subject to the fixture's electrical specifications
