Rare set of eight original dining chairs designed by Niels O. Møller and manufactured by J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik in Denmark: six Model 80 chairs and two Model 65 armchairs. Both models were created in the late 1960s and are among Møller's few designs with fully upholstered backs. Together, they form a harmonious, complete dining set that combines Scandinavian elegance with exceptional seating comfort and clean, flowing lines.
Model 65 is considered one of the most exclusive and complex designs in Møller's oeuvre. Its characteristic features are the elegantly curved, sculpturally shaped armrests, which lend the chair a modern, almost architectural silhouette – ideal for the ends of a table. All frames are crafted from solid teak, whose warm color and expressive grain underscore the high-quality design and impress with their finely crafted transitions and balanced proportions.
All chairs have been expertly reupholstered and uniformly covered in a high-quality zebra-print fabric from Sahco/Kvadrat – Kvadrat is one of Scandinavia's most renowned textile manufacturers. The wooden frames have been refinished, freshly oiled, and all joints inspected. The chairs are sturdy, comfortable, and ready for immediate use. The elegant back design makes the set ideal for freestanding placement in the dining area.
Condition: Very good vintage condition – professionally restored, reupholstered, and re-covered, with only minimal signs of age-related wear. An extremely rare, high-quality ensemble of Danish design history. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
