Vintage Meissen Porcelain Vase "Indian Painting in Purple" — 1st Choice (1980)
This exceptionally elegant vintage porcelain vase features a stunning, masterfully hand-painted "Indian Painting in Purple" (Indisch Purpur) motif, crafted by the prestigious Meissen Porcelain Manufactory in Germany. The classic baluster form showcases rich, intricate stylized floral arrangements in shades of purple and pink, lavishly embellished with fine 24-karat gold dots and highlights, finished with a polished gold rim.
Authentication & Marks:
The reverse features the iconic underglaze blue Meissen crossed swords mark, strictly confirming this piece as 1st choice quality / 1. Wahl (no factory cancellation slashes). The specific cobalt year mark on the base precisely dates the production to 1980. It bears the artisan's hand-painted iron-red pattern codes (506 / 19) and impressed shape numbers.
Dimensions:
• Height: 17 cm
• Diameter: 9 cm
Condition:
Very good vintage condition. The porcelain body is intact—free from chips, cracks, or signs of repair—and the delicate gilding retains its beautiful, vivid luster. As evidence of the authentic, manual manufacturing process, there is a small mark (a dark dot) on the white porcelain surface near the base, just above the lower gold rim. This is visible in the photographs; we mention it in the interest of full transparency. This piece has an attribution mark,
I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity
