Each sconce presents a tall, slightly arched rectangular alabaster shade that reads as a soft, translucent plane, and the natural veining and subtle clouding of the stone animate the surface when illuminated. The shades terminate with gently rounded corners and feature a shallow open slot at the lower edge that allows warm, diffused illumination to wash downward. The stone panels are mounted to flat rectangular backplates rendered in a deep oil-rubbed bronze tone, and each backplate carries a stepped bracket that secures the panel. The bronze elements are finished with a matte, near-black appearance that provides a restrained, modern contrast to the luminous alabaster. The fixtures lend a quietly sculptural presence that suits hallways and intimate interior settings while complementing both classical and contemporary schemes. Together the pair emphasizes simple geometric forms, tactile material contrast, and restrained Modernist proportions. Each fixture presents matched proportions and finish. Excellent vintage Condition, these pieces have been rewired to US standards and accommodate one candelabra base bulb achieving up to 60 watts of light each.
