Elevate your space with a premiere piece of American decorative art—an original, authentic 1920s Hubley Manufacturing Co. "Bathing Beauties" cast iron doorstop. Designed by the celebrated Art Deco illustrator Anne Fish, this iconic model features two flapper-era bathing girls huddled closely together under a large shared parasol.
One beauty is styled in a deep crimson-red swimsuit with matching ankle-strap heels, while her companion shines in a bright marigold-yellow swimsuit with coordinating yellow slippers. The graphic, stylized lines of the figures, their expressive faces, and the scalloped waves molding along the dark green base perfectly encapsulate the playful elegance of 1920s beach culture.
Authentication Marks:
This piece is structurally verified as a genuine antique Hubley casting. The reverse side features the deeply incised factory inventory mold number "250". The lower left front edge of the base is stamped with the crisp, unmistakable "© FISH" designer signature signature.

The piece retains an incredible amount of its original hand-painted palette, showing particularly strong preservation across both women's faces, limbs, and swimsuits. Age-appropriate surface wear, minor paint flecking, and standard oxidized patina are present along the umbrella edges and the weighted base. The casting is entirely structurally sound with no cracks or repairs. Please examine all high-resolution photos as they serve as the final visual confirmation of condition. less
