Crafted from a richly grained hardwood with a warm, lustrous patina, the tray is designed with a raised, sculpted border and integrated side handles featuring traditional scrolled cutouts. The base apron is detailed with carved, geometric fretwork motifs.

The center of the tray is beautifully decorated with a detailed inlay scene depicting birds perched on and flying around flowering branches. The artisan has used various tones of iridescent shell—including bright white, pale green, deep purple, and a striking green-and-blue iridescent shell for the birds' wings—to create a vivid, dimensional artwork against the dark wood background.
