This is a charming and auspicious pair of vintage bronze sculptures depicting stylized "Money Horses." Modeled after Tang dynasty equine figures, these horses feature a distinctively rotund, robust body with short, sturdy legs and a raised, open-mouthed head.
The horses are beautifully detailed, wearing decorative saddles and harnesses adorned with dangling tassels. A prominent feature is the string of traditional round coins draped around each horse's neck, symbolizing wealth and the concept of "money arriving immediately" (a play on words in the original language).
