These grand pieces masterfully combine traditional woodcarving with exquisite blue-and-white porcelain art.

Each tall panel features a large, hand-painted porcelain plaque in brilliant cobalt blue underglaze. Together, they depict the "Eighteen Arhats" (Luohan)—the legendary original disciples of the Buddha, renowned for their spiritual power and protection of the Dharma. The figures are rendered with distinct personalities, accompanied by traditional calligraphy and seal marks, set against a backdrop of misty mountains, ancient pines, and rocky outcrops.

The porcelain plaques are securely encased in heavy, richly patinated rosewood (hongmu) frames, featuring intricate openwork carving of auspicious floral and scrolling motifs at the top and bottom, complete with vintage bronze hanging hardware.

Standing at an impressive 120 cm (47.2 inches) tall per panel, this set is a commanding statement piece. It is perfect for creating a dramatic feature wall in a grand dining room, a meditation space, or a luxurious hallway.
