An extraordinary and monumental set of four vintage hanging wall panels, sourced from a private collection. These striking pieces beautifully blend traditional landscape painting with fine woodcraft.
Each panel features a large, rectangular porcelain plaque hand-painted in a classic Chinese ink-wash (mocai) style. The plaques depict a continuous, harmonious panoramic landscape of majestic mountains, winding rivers, ancient pine trees, and tiny pavilions shrouded in mist. The artwork is accompanied by traditional calligraphy and red seal marks.
The porcelain plaques are encased in heavy, richly patinated rosewood (hongmu) frames, intricately carved with scrolling lotus and auspicious motifs at the top and bottom. They are ready to hang with sturdy, vintage bronze hardware.
