Lexington Furniture Bob Timberlake Collection "Caroline" Cherry Bachelor Chest | Style #: 833-221 | Vintage
Bring authentic, heirloom-quality American craftsmanship into your home with this stunning solid cherry bachelor's chest from the highly coveted and discontinued World of Bob Timberlake Collection by Lexington Furniture Industries (Style #833-221).
Meticulously manufactured in North Carolina on January 11, 2001, this transitional piece seamlessly blends classic Georgian silhouettes with rugged Arts & Crafts durability. Built during the peak era of American domestic furniture production, it features thick, solid native cherry timbers that have matured into a breathtakingly rich, warm reddish-brown patina.
DESIGN & CRAFTSMANSHIP DETAILS:
• Premium Solid Wood: Exceptional solid cherry construction throughout, showcasing magnificent natural grain patterns.
• Transitional Silhouette: Features an elegant mitered top over a practical 4-drawer layout (two smaller top drawers over two full-width lower drawers).
• High-End Joinery: Exceptional English dovetail drawer construction ensuring generations of smooth, reliable structural integrity.
• Distinctive Hardware & Feet: Outfitted with robust solid wood turned knobs and finished with the collection's signature oversized turned bun feet.
• Collector’s Authenticity: Retains the original burnished brass "Bob Timberlake / Lexington Furniture Industries" maker's plaque mounted securely inside the top drawer, alongside matching stamped factory batch serial numbers on the back panel.
CONDITION REPORT:
• Exterior: Very Good to Excellent vintage condition. The exterior surfaces, top finish, sides, and bun feet show beautiful preservation with only minimal, negligible signs of historic home use.
• Interior: In beautiful, original, un-tampered condition. The drawer interiors display minor, honest vintage finish blushing (light cosmetic lacquer hazing) typical of 25-year-old aged American cherry. This is a purely cosmetic signature of time that confirms the original factory finish remains intact and does not affect the smoothness or cleanliness of the drawer liners.
DIMENSIONS:
• Width: 38 inches | • Height: 37 1/4 inches | • Depth: 19 inches
