Pair of metal chairs dating from around 1920. The frames are made from curved steel rods, forming simple arches beneath the seats, while the backs and seats are constructed from riveted sheet metal.
The mix of curved lines and geometric forms gives them a distinctive character, somewhere between late Art Nouveau and early Art Deco. The metal retains a rich aged patina with visible traces of oxidation and use.
