Here, generous storage, elegant design and many fine details come together in a piece of furniture with a very special expression!

Harry Østergaard was a Danish furniture designer with close ties to Randers Møbelfabrik, the family business that his father helped to found. His work included chairs, tables and storage furniture - furniture where Danish craftsmanship and attention to detail come into its own.

The warm tone and beautiful grain of the teak come into their own nicely over the large doors. The front is framed by a carefully designed edge with softly rounded inner corners and slightly arched lines that give the cabinet a harmonious and luxurious expression. The long, recessed handles on the sliding doors become an elegant part of the design.

Behind the two sliding doors are spacious storage spaces with two movable and removable shelves on each side. The interior of the cabinet is also beautifully crafted in teak. There is plenty of space here for china, glass and other items that you want to store together. The sliding doors also do not require any extra space in front of the cabinet when they are opened – very practical even where it is a bit cramped.

The middle section holds four drawers with paired, oval and recessed pull handles. The drawers have different depths, and the top one has a green lining that is a nice contrast to the warm color of the wood.

Above the drawers is a fantastic bar cabinet behind a folding door with a decorative, round wooden handle. Inside there is a mirror with a diamond pattern and small star details, a glass shelf and a dark bottom surface. The lighting is located behind a perforated wooden strip and turns on when the door is opened and then goes out when it is closed. The lowered door is held by metal fittings and serves as a practical shelf when mixing and serving drinks.

The high, boldly angled legs with a Y-shaped profile give the cabinet an airy silhouette. The darker tone of the base emphasizes the construction, where connecting struts contribute to good stability.

A formidable cabinet for the living room or dining room, with both a beautiful eye-catcher and well-thought-out storage. Danish 1960s design with many details to discover and appreciate!
