Italian pendant lamp from the 1960s, attributed to ignazio gardella.
the design centres around a large, softly rounded white diffuser, distinguished by two different ribbed textures. Fine vertical lines cover the upper dome, while delicate horizontal grooves follow the curved lower section, giving the shade an interesting sense of structure and depth.
the globe is suspended beneath a cylindrical metal fitting, with a slender suspension cable and a separate electrical cord. A circular metal element with small perforations and a short central finial completes the underside.
these understated industrial details provide an elegant contrast to the smooth, luminous appearance of the shade. When illuminated, the white diffuser creates a soft, evenly distributed light, while its textured surface adds a subtle visual dimension.
the combination of geometric precision and rounded forms gives the lamp a distinctive italian modernist character, making it particularly suitable above a dining table, in a living room or in an entrance hall.
the lamp requires two e26/e27 light bulbs. Compatible with us, european and worldwide electrical systems (120/220 v).
up to 250v (europe/uk standard).the wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
