The lamp still retains its original arteluce label. Fully original and in amazing conditions. One of sarfatti's most ingenious and recognizable lighting designs, the model 600/c features an innovative soft weighted base upholstered in black leather, allowing the lamp to be easily positioned and tilted in different directions without the use of a conventional articulated mechanism. The sculptural black base is filled with small metal pellets and supports a minimal black lacquered aluminum cylindrical structure. By simply changing the position of the weighted base, the direction and angle of the light can be adjusted, perfectly embodying gino sarfatti's experimental and functional approach to lighting design. Profesionally tested, compatible with both us and eu/uk standards, the lamp uses a regular e26/27 light bulb. An iconic and highly collectible and researched piece, perfect for a bedside table, desk or as a striking accent light in a contemporary, space age or mid-century modern interior.
