Gorgeous dark green kandem desk drg model 1087 designed by marianne brandt. This desk is made between 1939-1940 by körting & mathiesen in leipzig. German lamp manufacturer kandem was founded in leipzig in 1889. From its foundation in 1919 kandem was always closely associated with the bauhaus school, which many of the designs of the students bought and produced. Through that connection they came and student designer marianne brandt against. Brandt designed many household items, including what would become a modern classic: the kandem desk lamp. This lamp still has its original dark green paint and is provided with new substances grounded power cord, plug and switch. A beautiful bauhaus classic that fits into any home!
