This was reproduced as a lithograph in The Four Seasons, a 1962 Wyeth piece.

It shows a pair of canvasback ducks hanging by a cord against a plain wall, next to a small iron latch shaped like a heart. Wyeth renders the birds in detailed dry-brush. Around them he leaves a lot of open space and a few faint pencil lines, which gives the piece the quiet, spare feeling his work is known for. The print carries Wyeth’s signature in the plate at the upper right.

The paper has a raised, textured surface that resembles watercolor paper. It sits in a gray mat inside a slim silver-tone metal frame, under glass, so it’s ready to hang. See less
