Handsome vintage solid-wood credenza manufactured by the Boling Chair Company of Siler City, North Carolina, circa 1980s. Boling (originally High Point Bending and Chair Co., later simply Boling Company) was a long-established North Carolina maker known for durable, well-built wood furniture that expanded beyond chairs into desks, tables, bookcases, and case goods.
This substantial sideboard features a warm medium-to-dark brown finish (appears to be cherry or mahogany tones), a molded top edge, raised-panel cabinet doors, and a series of drawers fitted with classic brass-toned bail pulls. One cabinet door opens to reveal shelving and a working lock with key. The construction is solid and substantial, with paneled sides and a plinth base that gives the piece a grounded, traditional presence.
