The composition unfolds through successive horizontal layers of soft ivory, warm beige, muted blue-grey, ochre, and deep charcoal tones. A broad, expressive dark passage anchors the lower part of the painting, contrasting with the luminous, atmospheric upper section.

Working with both palette knife and brush, Dumont builds the surface through multiple layers of oil paint, scraping, and subtle textural variations. The resulting composition suggests a distant shoreline, shifting horizons, and the quiet movement of land and water without depicting a specific location.

Balancing expressive texture with a restrained palette, the painting conveys a sense of stillness, depth, and contemplation. Its understated colors and strong horizontal structure make it particularly suited to contemporary, minimalist, and sophisticated interiors.

This is a unique, original artwork, signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
