These high-quality vintage reproductions beautifully capture the intricate detail of 19th-century aquatint plates originally designed by the premier British sporting artist Henry Thomas Alken (1785–1851) and engraved by the master printmaker John Harris III (1791–1873). The set follows the traditional narrative arc of a countryside hunt, featuring the distinct titles: "The Meet" (Whoop), "Bolting the Fox", "The Return Home", and "Run to Earth".
Each piece comes housed in a handsome dark wood frame accented by an inner trim and crisp, clean double-matted borders that highlight the rich colors of the riders’ scarlet coats and sprawling English landscapes. Perfect for a library, office, entry hall, or any space celebrating a timeless English Country House or Grandmillennial aesthetic. See less
