Vintage pair of MCM high back armchairs in a Danish modern style, with wood frames and original upholstered seats.
Each chair features a tall back of six gently curved vertical slats beneath a rounded crest rail, sculpted open arms that sweep down into the front legs, and tapered legs with a subtle outward flare at the back. The seats retain their original cream vinyl with a fine gold and white scribble pattern that is true to the period.
These work beautifully as host and hostess chairs at the ends of a dining table, as a matched pair either side a console, or as desk or reading chairs. Their airy slatted backs and organic lines suit mid-century, Scandinavian, and curated vintage interiors.
Good vintage condition with only minor signs of wear. See pictures for details.
