This elegant French crystal sculpture by the renowned Saint-Louis crystal house depicts a seated musician playing a tall, gracefully curved harp. The finely sculpted figure features a detailed costume, with carefully rendered folds and decorative patterns that emphasize the craftsmanship of the piece. The harp rises in a sweeping arch, with delicate vertical strings and a warm golden-yellow hue that contrasts beautifully with the clear crystal of the figure.
The combination of transparent crystal and colored glass creates a striking decorative effect, highlighting the sculptural form and the intricate details of the instrument. Reflecting the refined tradition of French crystal artistry, this piece makes an elegant accent for a display cabinet, library, music room, or curated collection of fine European crystal. The underside is stamped by Saint-Louis, identifying the maker.
Measuring 6 3/4 inches high by 4.5 inches wide and 2 inches deep, this decorative sculpture showcases the distinctive elegance and artistry associated with French crystal craftsmanship.
