Down in the foreground, two tiny figures appear to be gathering something in the fields, perhaps wildflowers or herbs, adding such a sweet touch of everyday country life. The artist’s lovely brushwork gives the landscape a soft, almost dreamlike quality, with rich greens, touches of golden yellow, and delicate wisps of clouds. Signed by the artist, this original painting is presented beneath its beautiful original domed oval glass, surrounded by a richly gilded frame with a carved-look inner border and a gorgeous aged patina. Even the original silk-covered backing remains intact. A romantic little piece of the French countryside, perfect for a gallery wall or a special corner of your home.
