The colorful grid features lady bugs, … Read more 1970’s needlepoint tote handbag crafted from a kit designed by Bob Miller entitled ‘Ecology’. The colorful grid features lady bugs, mushrooms, birds, turtles, frogs and more…all in primary colors including red, blue, yellow and green with black graphics. The same pattern appears on both the front and back with ‘love’ decorating the sides. The open top makes for an easy access and the double beaded handles are lengthy enough for an easy carry. The interior is lined in a light purple cotton and gold chain decorations hang from the base of the handles. The talented crafter did not sign it but the original instructions from the kit were found inside. Vintage charm in every stitch!

Good vintage condition. There appears to be one missing stitch. The interior is clean with some signs of use. There is a little pilling to the yarn though nothing truly objectionable.

The body of the handbag measures 12.25" wide x 9" tall x 3" deep. The double handle measures 15.5" from end to end providing for a 6.25" drop. See less
