A woman sinks back into a worn leather sofa, one hand steadying a bottle for a wide-eyed infant in a red onesie and yellow blanket. Her other hand is occupied by a gray greyhound, who nuzzles in, demanding his share of the attention.

The palette is rich and warm, with cognac leather, soft pink floral wallpaper, cool blue-gray linen, and a dog rendered in silvery, feathery brushwork. The cropped composition and the figure's tilted-back pose give it a candid, snapshot feel with real emotional weight. See less
